Redcliffe police close operation targeting drug trafficking

Redcliffe police have charged 23 people with more than 100 offences following the closure of Operation Uniform Hedgehog, a six month investigation targeting the trafficking of dangerous drugs in the Moreton Police District.

Detectives laid 111 charges including trafficking, supplying and possession of dangerous drugs and possession of weapons with police alleging they located over $15,000 in cash, two firearms, more than 12 grams of methylamphetamine, over 600 grams of cannabis and vials of steroids.

On March 16, police executed a search warrant at a King Street, Clontarf address. It is alleged that drugs including cannabis and methylamphetamine were located.

A 40-year-old Clontarf woman was charged with two charges of trafficking, eleven offences of supplying a dangerous drug and two for possession of a dangerous drug. She will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 27.

On June 14 police executed a search warrant at a Eveshan Road, Deception Bay address. It is alleged that police located steroids, a shortened .22calibre firearm, cash, gamma hydroxybutyric (GHB), cannabis, an electic conductive device, and two scooters believed to be stolen.

A 39-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with three charges of possessing a dangerous drug, possession of drug utensils, three weapons related offences and possession of property believed to be from the proceeds of a drug offences. He will appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates court on December 1.

A search warrant was executed at a Corso residence at North Lakes on July 12. It is alleged that police located drugs including methylamphetamine and butanediol.

A 53-year-old North Lakes woman was charged with twelve counts of supplying a dangerous drug, five for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug utensils and possession of tainted property. She will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates court on October 5.
