Road and Council services update: Ballina Shire

Road and Council services update

There are still several roads across Ballina Shire with water over road, and road closures. Due to access and safety restrictions Ballina Shire Council staff cannot inspect and signpost all roads. Crews have been able to inspect some local roads this morning, this information has now been posted to livetraffic.com.

Motorists must use alternate routes where available and are reminded not to move road closure signage. Residents are urged to again avoid non-essential travel today and over the coming days.

The Pacific Highway is currently open in both directions for all vehicles, between Wardell and Tintenbar after being closed due to flooding. One northbound and one southbound lane of the highway remain closed. However, this morning's high tide may cause further flooding and road closures, please check livetraffic.com before any essential travel. The Cumbalum Interchange remains closed.

The Burns Point Ferry remains CLOSED until further notice.
