Road rage incident at Elizabeth Vale, South Australia

Police are investigating a road rage incident at Elizabeth Vale this morning, where a man was hit by a car.

Just after 11am today (Friday, 28 June) police and ambulance crews were called to the intersection of John Rice Avenue and Haydown Road, after reports that a man had been hit by a maroon/red Holden Commodore sedan, possibly a mid-1990s model.

The man had been driving a black Holden Colorado utility in the moments leading up to the crash, and witnesses have told police that the two vehicles may have collided with each other on John Rice Avenue, before they both stopped at the intersection.

The man then got out of the utility and approached the Commodore, when he was hit by the vehicle as it drove away from the scene. It was last seen heading west on John Rice Avenue, with a male driver. There were no other occupants in the Commodore.

The victim suffered minor injuries, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage of the two vehicles on John Rice Avenue is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
