Robbery and assault, Acacia Ridge

Investigators from the Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are seeking public assistance to identify a man who robbed and assaulted a woman at an Acacia Ridge business on Monday (July 18).

Initial investigations indicate just before 9am, the man entered the Beaudesert Road business before engaging with the female employee of the business.

The man then grabbed the woman and forced her into another room before taking several of the woman's personal items.

The man then assaulted her before fleeing the scene on foot.

Investigators have released CCTV of the man, who is described as Islander in appearance with a solid build, and was wearing an orange hoodie and dark track pants.

Police appeal to the man or anyone who may recognise him or know his whereabouts, to come forward.
