Robbery investigation at St James

Cannington Detectives are investigating an aggravated armed robbery that occurred in St James on Tuesday 23 March 2021.

Between 10pm and 10.30pm the victims, two men aged in their 40s, were walking on Albany Highway, near Victoria Street. A man has approached the victims, assaulted one of the men and threatened the other before fleeing with a gold chain and cash.

The victims flagged down a passing vehicle who took them to Royal Perth Hospital.

One of the men received an injury to his hand requiring surgery.

The man is described as fair skinned, around 185 cm tall, solid build with an Australia accent. He was wearing a black hoodie, grey track pants and white shoes.

Detectives are seeking any dash-cam or CCTV footage of the area at the time.
