Robbery, Liberty Deprivation Charges in Nebo

Police have charged a 22-year-old man following an attempted robbery with violence incident at Oxford on 17 November.

Shortly before 8am, two men allegedly entered an Oxford Downs Sarina Road address and confronted a female resident.

The woman was restrained and assaulted before the men left the scene without any property.

The woman sustained serious chest injuries and was flown to Mackay Base Hospital.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on 22 November and has been charged with two counts each of assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst in company, deprivation of liberty, and common assault, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent uses/threatens violence in company, attempted robbery – use/threaten violence in company, unlawful use of motor vehicles, and wilful damage.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Moranbah Magistrates Court on 22 January, 2026.

Police are seeking to locate a second man who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
