Robbery with violence, Logan Central 25 June

Police are appealing to the public for dashcam footage as part of an investigation into the robbery of a 54-year-old woman at Logan Central this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 4am, the 54-year-old was walking along Benz Street when she was approached by a man and woman who were not known to her.

The woman demanded the 54-year-old's handbag. When the victim refused, the woman produced a device similar to a taser and held it against her arm whilst making further demands.

A short struggle ensued resulting in the woman stealing the 54-year-old's bag containing a small amount of cash and personal belongings.

Both the man and woman then fled on foot, northbound on Benz Street towards Wembley Road.

The 54-year-old did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious - or may have captured dash-camera footage - along Benz Street or Wembley Road between 3.50am and 4.30am on Friday June 25, to come forward.

Investigations continue.
