Royal Avenue Tennis Centre has been operating under McKimm Tennis since 2008.
The club has a very active junior community with 15 teams participating in weekend competition, and over 370 children enjoying weekly lessons (with additional programs being offered during school holidays).
The club's woman's programs include Cardio Tennis (75 participants) and competition with 150 players, making up 21 teams. McKimm Tennis also improved social tennis opportunities earlier this year after applying for, and receiving funding support from the Victorian Government to upgrade 6-courts with LED lighting. The investment is enabling consistent year-round operating hours, with nighttime play during the winter months now possible.
The existing lease for the management and operation of the Royal Avenue Tennis Centre has expired and requires renewal. The Tenant has proposed a term of 9-years and 9-months, with an investment of up to $529,450 to maintain and upgrade facilities over the lease duration, and a base rent of $115,000 (plus GST), with rent escalation at CPI per annum.
