The RUOK? Day Convoy will roll into Mildura early next month as part of its 50-day journey across Victoria and South Australia, sharing information and awareness about mental health, wellbeing and connection.

The Convoy will arrive in Mildura on Friday 10 October, featuring a Conversation Convoy event in the Langtree Mall from 11am to 2pm.

Councillor for Community Health, Wellbeing Troy Bailey said the event would allow the community to explore stalls from local mental health and wellbeing organisations including:

  • headspace
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing Local
  • CatholicCare Victoria
  • Mallee Family Care
  • Sunraysia Suicide Prevention Support Network
  • Sunraysia Lifeline
  • Sunraysia Community Health Services.

"There will be a whole host of resources, support, friendly faces and people to talk to, including social inclusion staff from our Community Wellbeing team," Cr Bailey said.

"The team will be on hand to provide information about our new Social Inclusion Action Group, which is helping to build a more connected and inclusive community."

The RUOK? Day Convoy's stop in Mildura next month coincides with World Mental Health Day and will include a free barbecue and coffee.

The whole community is invited to come along to this free event.
