The exciting atmosphere of the Adelaide Fringe will roll into the Salisbury Civic Plaza this weekend in the form of a free two-day event.
The Salisbury Fringe Carnival will feature amusement rides, live music, streets performers and novelty activities and is expected to attract hundreds of people from the northern region.
Highlights will include:
- Live local bands covering classics from a range of genres including pop and modern rock
- Activities including a silent disco with Bumbles the Clown for kids, doughnut eating competition, mini croquet, giant games and more
- Sizzler, clowns and safari train show rides
- Roving magician, stilt walkers, street performer and balloon artist
- Circus elements workshop
- Favourite carnival foods available for purchase at food vans
Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said she was looking forward to seeing Salisbury's city centre abuzz with excitement ahead of the event.
"There is a special atmosphere during Fringe time and I can't wait to see members of our community come together to enjoy a well-deserved weekend of fun and entertainment," she said.
The event is a reinvigorated version of Council's popular annual Salisbury Secret Garden and will be open to all to attend in the Salisbury Civic Plaza/Inparrinthi Kumangka on Friday (February 26) from 5.30pm to 9.30pm and Saturday (February 27) from 10am to 10pm.
