After a standout season with Chelsea, Sam Kerr has been named the WSL Player of the Season and also picked up the award for Goal of the Season.
After another formidable year in front of goal, picking up a second consecutive Golden Boot award, Sam Kerr has been named as the WSL Player of the Season. This award comes after a number of accolades for the striker, who was awarded Chelsea’s Player of the Season and picked up the WSL Player of the Year at the London Football Awards.
She was also named Football Writers’ Association Women’s Player of the Year award.
Kerr’s incredible volley on the last day of WSL action, which saw the Aussie help Chelsea clinch their sixth WSL title with two goals against Manchester United, was voted goal of the season.
Chelsea’s accolades didn’t stop there, with coach Emma Hayes also being named Manager of the Season after claiming the award in 2019/20 and 2020/21 season.
