Sarah Fowler is chief executive of the Peak District National Park Authority. Sarah works to deliver positive change for people and the environment.

In her current role she speaks up for and cares for the Peak District National Park for all to enjoy forever. Her work is about National Parks being more diverse, in nature and in the people connecting with them. It is about looking after the best of the British countryside and inspiring people to feel connected with nature, feel great and to care. National Park Authorities are part of a global family, and of their local communities, they continuously test and work out how a sustainable future is possible. In her previous roles, she has managed major environmental and flooding incidents and worked locally, nationally and internationally delivering and advocating for sustainable development. She previously worked in the Environment Agency, led Peterborough Environment City Trust, worked at English Nature (Natural England's predecessor) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. She began her career at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Sarah is a board member of Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Active Partners Trust and a Trustee of UK National Parks Foundation. At home, she has helped run an organic farm and enjoys getting outdoors with family and friends.
