North-west Sydney's biggest Christmas celebration – Light Up Windsor – is back in 2026, bigger and better than ever! Save the date for Saturday 28 November, 5-9pm for a night of Christmas markets, entertainment and fun for all the family.
This year will mark the biggest change in the event's history. Following feedback from visitors and shopkeepers, we are closing George Street from Fitzgerald Street to New Street to accommodate our burgeoning Christmas markets!
By spreading out the crowds, Light Up Windsor will be the most accessible it has ever been by allowing for more space for shoppers to browse at their leisure.
It will also allow the benefits of the event to extend to more shopkeepers and enable Light Up Windsor to expand into the forecourts of the Deerubbin Centre where visitors will have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the live reindeers.
In the Mall will be our family fun zone which will include free Christmas activities as well as our popular Reindeer passports, lights and the popular snow zone, ensuring the Mall will be a hive of Christmas activity. As usual, shop owners and restaurants in the Mall and along George Street will be encouraged to stay open for shoppers and those looking to relax and eat.
Other major highlights will be the Windsor RSL stage, our meet and greet with Santa, our new laneway activation and the traditional lighting of the giant Christmas tree in the Mall.
Expression of interests are now open for stallholders, performance groups and for event sponsors at www.lightupwindsor.com.au/the-event/bepartoflighupwindsor
