The Hills Shire's Christmas event extravaganza is back for the 2026 festive season, featuring a boutique Christmas market, the region's biggest Christmas light display and a festive party for younger residents at Bella Vista Farm.
Illuminate The Hills will return to the Queen Elizabeth II Rose Garden, transforming the Baulkham Hills community space into a Christmas wonderland filled with dazzling light installations and festive decorations, including a walk through Christmas train.
To mark the opening of Illuminate The Hills, a special opening night Christmas market will be held exclusively on Sunday 29 November, offering visitors the opportunity to browse a variety of boutique market stalls, enjoy delicious treats from a selection of food trucks and grab a photo with Santa and Mrs Claus.
After opening night, the festive lights and installations will remain at the Rose Garden for families to enjoy every night until Saturday 2 January 2027.
Then on Sunday 6 December, families are invited to the Mayor's Children's Christmas Party at Bella Vista Farm, which will include free festive-themed activities for children to enjoy.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said Council's Christmas events have become a highlight of the festive calendar for local families.
"Our Christmas events bring our community together to celebrate the joy and wonder of the festive season," Mayor Byrne said.
"Illuminate The Hills is always a popular event, attracting thousands of residents on opening night.
"I also love that Illuminate The Hills offers families the opportunity to enjoy the festive lights and installations beyond opening night. It's such a lovely, free experience to bring family or friends to soak in the Rose Garden in all its grandeur.
"I'm also looking forward to my Mayor's Children's Christmas Party, offering families a low-cost way to enjoy Christmas craft and activities at Bella Vista Farm."
"Whether you're visiting with family or friends, our Christmas events offer a memorable experience, and I look forward to welcoming residents and visitors back for another magical season."
