School's Back, Library Program Is Packed

Eurobodalla Libraries welcome 2026 with a packed program of activities, as school returns and popular adult and preschooler programs start back up for the year.

From author talks and classic films to practical workshops and engaging talks, February is shaping up to be a great time to get back into the library and try something new.

Eurobodalla Council's library acting coordinator Skye Stapleton said the new year program is designed to support learning, connection and curiosity across all ages.

"February is all about welcoming our community back into the libraries after the school holidays, with a great mix of activities for adults, seniors and families with young children," Ms Stapleton said.

"Whether you're keen to brush up on your online skills, learn more about our local history or enjoy a classic movie, there's something on for everyone."

Program highlights include:

Sydney Writers Festival talks - live streamed from the State Library. The chance to hear authors like Geraldine Brooks and Kathy Lette without the travel.

Cyber security workshops for seniors at Batemans Bay and Moruya libraries offer plain-English tips to help people stay safe online.

Author talks with Peter Lacey explore the fascinating history of the NSW South Coast and the forces that shaped the region.

Classic flicks and Saturday matinee movies are perfect for a relaxed afternoon at the library.

Indigenous science and the Medicine Wheel at Moruya Library, with Dr Valerie Cloud Clearer Ringland who share insights into Indigenous knowledge and healing.

The science behind our weather at Narooma Library explores how weather stations and weather balloons work.

Regular preschooler and early years programs also return in February, helping little learners build a love of books, stories and social time as the school year begins.
