Search at Para Hills uncovers grenade and stolen property, South Australia

Police have located a number of stolen items along with a grenade following a search of a home at Para Hills this morning.

About 4.30am on Tuesday 16 February, police located a stolen Audi SUV in the driveway of a home on Marsh Avenue.

Checks revealed that the car had been stolen during a break-in at Broadview on 1 February.

The stolen Audi was also being sought in connection with a break-in at Andrews Farm yesterday.

The break-in occurred sometime between 5.30am and 5.30pm on Monday 16 February and a large quantity of property including cash, tools and the victim's black Holden Utility with SA Registration S286BGK with its keys was stolen.

Northern District patrols and Detectives commenced a search of the home and located a large amount of property believed to be stolen. A second Audi SUV at the home was also found to be stolen and had been taken overnight from a home at Wattle Park.

Officers also located a grenade in one of the rooms and called in Bomb Response Unit to assess. ADF members attended to render the item safe and then dispose of it.

Three occupants at the home, two women and a man, have been arrested and are being interviewed by police.

The stolen Holden utility is still outstanding and police urge anyone who sees the car to call police on 131 444.

Police continue to search the home and investigations are continuing.
