Search for missing bushwalker, NSW

A search will resume in the morning for a bushwalker missing in the Blue Mountains.

About 6.30pm today, a man contacted Triple Zero saying he became lost while bushwalking in Wentworth Falls.

The man, who gave his age as 32, told the operator he had commenced walking from the Conservation Hut area about Midday.

The man told the operator he had no food, water or camping equipment.

Officers from Police Rescue and Blue Mountains Local Area Command commenced a search.

A ground search continued until 12.30am. It is expected to recommence about 7am today and will involve both a ground and aerial search.

The identity of the man is not confirmed.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
