Search for Missing Elderly Man on Northern Beaches Continues

Police are renewing their appeal for public assistance to find a man missing from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Richard Gottschald, aged 81, was last seen about 5pm on Tuesday (14 March 2023), at a home on Reddall Street, Manly.

When he could not be contacted or located, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Following extensive inquiries, a coordinated search operation and Geo-target SMS campaign, the man has still not been found.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition that requires medication.

Richard is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of slim build, with balding hair.

He walks with a limp and is assisted by a red walker.

Richard is known to frequent the North Head and Manly areas.
