A search has resumed for two men missing at Shelley Beach near Port Macquarie.
Items of property belonging to a 20-year-old man from England and a 21-year-old man from France were found at the beach about 6.30am Monday (18 February 2019).
A silver Commodore station wagon rented to the men was found in the Shelley Beach car park, with personal items, including travel documents, still inside.
A water and ground search began involving police from Mid North Coast Police District, Marine Rescue, SES, NSW Police Force Marine Area Command, but there has been no sign of the men. Police divers from Sydney joined the search yesterday and will continue assisting today.
Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen the men, or their car, near the Shelley Beach car park or in the surrounding streets, to contact them.
Hugo Palmer, from England, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with fair hair 180cm tall and with an athletic build.
Erwan Ferrieux, from France, and has dark hair, brown eyes, a tanned complexion and is between 175cm-180cm tall.
