Search suspended for missing swimmer at Valla Beach, NSW

A search for a swimmer reported missing from a beach on the state’s North Coast at the weekend has been suspended, NSW Police say.

About 5.30pm on Saturday 17 February 2018, police and emergency services were called to Valla Beach, following reports a 22-year-old man had been swept out to sea.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District with assistance from Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Marine Rescue and Surf Life Saving commenced a search of the area.

Despite an extensive search, Queensland man Daniel Price has not been located. The search has been suspended and police will continue to patrol the beach.

The family has requested privacy at this time.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
