Search underway for missing man, Urandangi

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate 34-year-old Andrick Ross, reported missing from the Urandangi area (Mt Isa).

Queensland and Northern Territory police inquiries indicate Andrick (pictured below), a Northern Territory man, left the Northern Territory on October 16 and was last seen in Urandangi (Queensland) on the same date.

He is believed to have been travelling between Urandangi and Alpurrurulam. Mr Ross's vehicle has been located parked near Headingly Station approximately 35 km outside the Northern Territory-Queensland border.

A land and air search of the area is currently underway to locate Mr Ross. Local community members and the State Emergency Service (SES) have also been engaged.

Andrick (pictured below) is Aboriginal, approximately 175cm tall, with a solid build, black hair and brown eyes.

Although Andrick has travelled between Alice Springs and Urandangi previously police are concerned for his welfare as Andrick has failed to contact family or friends, and the remoteness and isolation of the area.

Police urge Andrick, or anyone with information of his whereabouts, to contact police.
