Second Person Charged Over Assault - Caringbah

A man will face court today after two men were allegedly assaulted in Sydney's south last weekend.

About 5.30pm on Saturday (15 August 2026), emergency services were called to Cawarra Road, Caringbah, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and found two men – aged 23 and 46 – were allegedly assaulted by a group of people.

An electrical stun device was allegedly used during the assault.

The men sustained minor injuries; however, neither required further medical treatment.

A 27-year-old woman has since been charged and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, about 8pm yesterday (Monday 17 August 2026), police arrested a 24-year-old man at Hurstville Police Station.

He was charged with affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Tuesday 18 August 2026).

Inquiries continue.
