Second person charged with High Wycombe aggravated home burglary

As a result of almost a year-long investigation, Midland Detectives have charged a second man in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred at a home in High Wycombe on 5 November 2020.

It will be alleged around 1.45am, the man with his face covered forced entry into a home and was confronted by the occupants, a 65-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man.

It is further alleged during the incident the woman was pepper-sprayed to the face and she was assaulted, resulting in a serious head injury (bleeding on the brain). Both victims were traumatised by the incident.

A 30-year-old man who is currently in prison has been charged with:

• One count of Aggravated Home burglary;

• One count of Aggravated Armed Robbery;

• One count of Aggravated Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm; and

• One count of Aggravated unlawful wounding.

He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court (likely via video link) on 9 November 2021.
