People with disability, carers and advocates who are passionate about representing the disability community are being encouraged to apply to join the Cook Government's Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability.
The Council was established to represent people with disability, their families and carers in Western Australia and provide independent advice to the Minister for Disability Services.
The Council has a maximum of 14 members, including people with disability and people with knowledge and experience in matters relevant to people with disability.
Expressions of interest are currently being sought to fill five positions on the Council.
A key focus of the Council's work over the coming term is to promote and drive the continued delivery of the WA Government's A Western Australia for Everyone: State Disability Strategy 2020-2030.

As stated by Disability Services Minister Hannah Beazley:
