A north west metro region police officer has been charged following an investigation into an incident in Sunbury in 2019.
The senior constable has been charged with unlawful assault, assault with a weapon and use abusive language in public.
The incident occurred while the officer was on-duty.
He has been summonsed to appear at court at a later date.
