Serious assault charges in Eatons Hill., QLD

Police have charged a man who allegedly assaulted two police officers after leaving the scene of a traffic crash last night. , Queensland Police say

It will be alleged at about 11pm a car was travelling west on Church Street, Eatons Hill, when it has left the road and hit a tree.

The male driver of the car was seen by witnesses to walk away from the crash. Police have ran after the man and when caught he has assaulted the officers by biting and striking them.

A 19-year-old Eatons Hill man has been charged with two counts of serious assault police and is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning, February 25.

A 16-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man who were passengers in the car, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A male constable was treated for a serious bite to his right forearm. The other officer received bruising as a result of the scuffle.

Investigations in relation to the traffic crash are continuing.
