Serious hit and run, Norman Gardens

Police are appealing for footage and witnesses to a serious hit and run incident at Norman Gardens this morning.

Police will allege that at around 1am, a white ute travelling along Yaamba Road at the intersection of Moores Creek Road hit a male pedestrian.

The utility failed to stop and left an 18-year-old man seriously injured on the road.

Members of the public rendered first aid to the man prior to the arrival of emergency services.

He was transported in a critical condition to Rockhampton Base Hospital.

Police are encouraging anyone who has footage or witnessed the incident to contact police.
