Northern Territory Police have now arrested seven people in relation to a violent group assault in Nightcliff that left a 30-year-old man critically injured.
A 17-year-old Wadeye girl was arrested on Tuesday and charged with acts intended to cause serious harm. She was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court on 23 September 2026.
Three men, aged 21, 29 and 43, were also arrested in Wadeye on Tuesday with assistance from local police.
They have each been charged with:
- Acts intended to cause serious harm
- Recklessly endangering life
- Engaging in violent conduct
- Going armed in public
All three have been remanded in custody.
On Wednesday, Strike Force Trident members arrested a further two men, aged 24 and 57, and a 14-year-old boy in Nightcliff.
The two men are expected to be charged with acts intended to cause serious harm, recklessly endangering life, engaging in violent conduct and going armed in public.
The boy is expected to be charged with recklessly endangering serious harm, engaging in violent conduct and going armed in public.
Detective Senior Sergeant Trent Abbott APM from the Serious Crime Squad said seven people have now been arrested, but this investigation is not over.
"We are continuing to identify everyone who participated in this violent assault, and further arrests are expected.
"Police are also investigating links between some of those arrested and the recent theft of a vehicle from the RAAF Base Darwin.
"It is deeply concerning that two youths, aged just 14 and 17, are alleged to have been involved in such serious violence.
"Anyone who participated in this incident should not assume they can avoid responsibility. We will continue pursuing every line of enquiry to identify, locate and place alleged offenders before the courts."
