The NSW Government is conducting a survey to learn community preferences for shark mitigation, to help with decisions about sharks and beach safety.
Shark mitigation are the public and personal protection measures to increase the safety of beachgoers, and reduce the chance of a shark-human interaction occurring.

The survey follows the five years of trialling world-class technology and researching shark behaviour via the NSW Shark Management Strategy.

This survey is being conducted by the University of Wollongong and Charles Sturt University on behalf of DPI.

The survey closes on 28 March 2021.
