Local community organisations across Shellharbour are set to deliver 28 impactful projects, supported by more than $355,000 in funding through the 2025 Shellharbour Category 1 ClubGRANTS program.
ClubGRANTS is a state-wide initiative that ensures larger registered clubs in NSW contribute to the wellbeing of their local communities by supporting vital services and programs.

While Shellharbour City Council does not own the program, Council plays a key role in its administration, including establishing local priorities, promoting grants, providing recommendations for funding, and supporting the Local Committee. Council does not make the final decision about which applicants receive support.
This year's funded projects address a wide range of local priorities, including: education, food relief, disability services, youth support, health promotion, and initiatives that foster social connection and community development.
Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer acknowledged the program for its role in strengthening community connections and supporting those who need it most.
"This funding helps strengthen the fabric of our community. It empowers local organisations to deliver meaningful programs that support residents and build a more inclusive, connected Shellharbour," Mayor Homer said.
The funding was made possible thanks to the contributions of six local clubs:
• Albion Park Bowling and Recreation Club
• Albion Park RSL Memorial Club
• Oak Flats Bowling and Recreation Club
• The Shellharbour Club
• Warilla Bowling and Recreation Club
• Warilla Sports Club
One of last year's recipients, Top Blokes Foundation, used their funding to deliver youth mental health programs in Shellharbour which highlighted the real-world impact of ClubGRANTS support.
The Category 1 funding round opens annually in February, and community organisations are encouraged to apply for support to deliver community-focused initiatives. The next round will open in February 2026.
