Hawkesbury Arts and Culture's popular Seniors Expo returns this March in celebration of NSW Seniors Festival 2026. On Wednesday 18 March, the Deerubbin Centre in Windsor will come alive with a range of activities for local seniors to have fun and connect with others in their community.
Taking place over a full day, the Seniors Expo is where seniors can meet new people, connect with community and celebrate the role and contributions of older adults to our local area. This vibrant event will include information stalls from local community organisations, live music performances, a range of fun workshops, and light refreshments.
The event kicks off at 10am in Hawkesbury Central Library, with pop-up stalls from a range of community organisations offering information on ways to stay connected and supported as a senior. There will be plenty of freebies and brochures to pick up, and it is a great way to learn more about local services through face-to-face conversations. Tea and coffee will also be provided.
From 12 – 1pm, you can head upstairs to the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and enjoy a complimentary light lunch and live music on the Gallery balcony. While you're there you can explore the gallery's new exhibition HOME | a place we call, featuring local Hawkesbury artists, and connect with the Gallery's staff and volunteers.
After lunch is where the fun really begins, with FREE workshops and site tours throughout the Deerubbin Centre between 1 – 4pm. Attendees can enjoy a range of activities from fitness workshops, historical site tours, art and craft workshops, and even ukulele lessons! Limited spaces are available in each workshop and bookings are essential. You can pre-book your spot online, over the phone, or sign-up on the day.
NSW Seniors Festival is for people aged 60+, or 50+ for Aboriginal people and people with a life-long disability. Whether you're looking to meet new friends or gain helpful insights into healthy aging, this event has something for everyone. Come along, relax, and engage with your community as we celebrate this special occasion.
