Shooting incident in Mount Gravatt East, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses after shots were fired into a unit in Mount Gravatt East early this morning, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 2:40am a Creek Road unit complex was awoken by a sledge hammer being used to force entry to the front door of a unit.

After damaging the door, a firearm was then discharged into the unit.

Two people inside the unit at the time were uninjured.

A crime has been established and investigations are continuing.
