Shooting Investigation, Acacia Ridge

Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigations Branch are investigating a shooting incident in Acacia Ridge last night, 25 May.

At approximately 9.46pm, police attended a unit on Harden Street and located a 38-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

The man was treated on scene before being transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An unknown number of offenders fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Early investigations suggest the shooting was a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if a utility located abandoned and burnt out on Gregory Street is linked.

Police believe the utility was stolen from a Gordon Circuit address in Seventeen Mile Rocks overnight between 11 April and 12 April.

Anyone with relevant information or vision, including dashcam or CCTV, is urged to contact police.

Investigations remain ongoing.
