Fawkner Embona detectives are investigating a firearms incident which occurred in Airport West early this morning.
Investigators have been told a firearm was discharged at a house in Thomas Street about 2.20am.
Four occupants were inside at the time of the incident and were not injured.
Investigators are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and a crime scene is in place.
