Amcor Wins Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award

Neenah, Wis., October 28, 2026 - Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, has been honored by the U.S. Plastics Pact for PP Revolution™ dip cups.

Billions of dip cups are used across North America each year, yet recyclability has historically been limited due to package size and material composition. PP Revolution™ dip cups are designed for recyclability, helping brands transition from traditional polystyrene solutions. Appropriately sized formats are recyclable wherever polypropylene cups are accepted, with select sizes achieving a Preferred rating for Size Sorting Potential under the APR Design® Guide. This evaluation can support stronger recyclability claims and potential Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fee advantages, with How2Recycle® pre-qualification of Check Locally in the U.S. and Widely Recyclable in Canada available for select sizes.1

Polypropylene cups are currently accepted by recycling programs serving more than 60% of U.S. residents,2 experiencing no significant sortation challenges. Polypropylene also benefits from well-established end markets, supporting improved circularity and recovery potential. The transition from PVdC coated HIPS to PP Revolution™ results in an improved environmental footprint, including a 70% reduction in carbon footprint and 63% reduction in non-renewable energy.3

In many cases, consumers use multiple dip cups per dining occasion. PP Revolution™ dip cups are available in a range of sizes from 0.5 to 2.0oz. This enables brands to better align package volume with consumer usage, which can support source reduction initiatives by reducing the total number of cups used.

PP Revolution™ offers a rare combination of sustainability and cost efficiency, helping brands improve environmental performance without sacrificing economics. In addition, the dip cups have an improved barrier compared to traditional solutions and are available with Amcor's comprehensive portfolio of EZ Peel® lidding, including metallized, foil and AmPrima® recycle-ready options. PP Revolution™ allows for customizable structures and colors to protect product quality, freshness, and versatility across foodservice applications.

PP Revolution™ dip cups are engineered to run on existing filling equipment at current line speeds, enabling a seamless switch with no modifications or capital investments. The cups are commercially established and extensively validated across sauce formulations and shelf-life requirements allowing brands to test and scale production in as little as six weeks.

"Amcor's PP Revolution™ dip cups are a technological breakthrough for the foodservice industry," said Brian Carvill, vice president of research and development, Amcor Flexibles North America. "Amcor is proud to offer brands a solution that reduces the environmental footprint of their dip cups through increased recyclability, less plastic waste and an improved environmental lifecycle. A simple transition to PP Revolution™ today also prepares brands for the regulatory realities of tomorrow."

1. Additional package components, product application, or other attributes may change the final recyclability of the package.

2. According to the How2Recycle® Decision Matrix

3. Based on a cradle-to-grave comparison of PVdC coated HIPS versus PP Revolution™ C-175 cups with assumption of 100% landfill of the baseline pack and 100% mechanical recycling of the new pack. Carbon footprint reduction is calculated using Amcor's ASSET lifecycle assessment model, which is assured by Carbon Trust. Data valid at time of analysis.
