Significant Drug seizure 19 May

Detectives from the Transnational Serious and Organised Crime Squad (TSOC) have charged two men following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity in Western Australia.

About 10am on Thursday 18 May 2023, TSOC detectives executed a Misuse of Drugs Search Warrant in Ballajura.

It will be alleged, during the search police located a duffle bag containing 14kg of methylamphetamine.

A further search of the property yielded $10,000 in cash and multiple encrypted mobile phones.

Further search warrants were later executed in Mirrabooka and Ellenbrook where it will be alleged police located $114,220 in cash, 28grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

The 49-year-old Ellenbrook man was charged with:

1 x Sold or Supplied, or Offered to Sell or Supply, a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine

1 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property

1 x Laundering Property/Money from Proceeds of Major Offence

1 x Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis)

1 x Possessed any Drug Paraphernalia in or on Which There was a Prohibited Drug or Plant

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, 19 May 2023.

The 47-year-old Ballajura man was charged with:

1 x Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Supply it to Another

1 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, 19 May 2023.
