SKATE TSU swimmer won 2022 Finswimming World Championships

He Pinli (Chinese Taipei), member of TSU underwater swimming club SKATE, won a gold medal in 200m bi-fins at the 2022 Finswimming World Championships (Santiago de Cali, Colombia).

He Pinli trained at SKATE TSU twice this year. She spent the final stage of preparation before the championship in Tomsk.

"Training in Tomsk was always a joy. We usually swam in Zvyozdniy, so I had good conditions to prepare for world games and championship. We were totally on the same page with SKATE lead coach Pyotr Viktorovich Timchenko, so the training sessions were always smooth. I have the best memories," says He Pinli.

Klara Antonyan, TSU graduate, helped He Pinli to adapt in Tomsk. Klara translated for the Chinese Taipei team during the 2021 Finswimming World Championship that took place in Tomsk, and has become an irreplaceable member of the SKATE team.

Earlier this year, He Pinli left Tomsk to compete in the 2022 World Games in the United States, to which she had been invited after her performance on the previous World Championship that took place in Tomsk. Then she traveled to Santiago de Cali, Colombia, where the 2022 Finswimming World Championship took place on July 18-28 and she won a gold medal in 200m bi-fins and became the world champion.
