Small Grants Program Supporting Collie Community

  • Cook Government supporting Collie community through Synergy's Small Grants program
  • Grants of up to $5,000 available, with $50,000 for major initiatives
  • Builds on Cook Government's Just Transition commitment to Collie

The Cook Government continues to support the Collie community with the latest round of the Collie Small Grants program.

Community groups, charities, and notforprofits are invited to apply for grants from $5,000 to $50,000 for initiatives that will strengthen the Collie community.

Run by governmentowned energy retailer Synergy, the program has delivered more than $260,000 to local organisations since 2019, driving real, positive change across the community.

Thirteen local groups received grants last year, including the Collie Eagles Junior Football Club.

The club is now able to bring more young people into the sport, building healthy habits and a strong sense of belonging.

Other grant recipients have launched farmers' markets, hosted sporting and gala events, and upgraded facilities across the town.

These grants sit alongside the Cook Government's broader commitment to Collie, with nearly $700 million invested in jobcreating projects, including training and workforce development through the local Jobs and Skills Centre, as part of the Just Transition package.

More information is available through Synergy's Collie Small Grants program .

As stated by Energy and Decarbonisation Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

"We want Collie to continue to thrive. Supporting small community initiatives through these grants complements our broader Just Transition package that is securing the town's future."

As stated by member for Collie Jodie Hanns MLA:

"These small grants are extremely popular and enable many community organisations to improve their facilities or launch new initiatives, making a positive difference to Collie."
