Iconic Australian dance‑pop duo Sneaky Sound System will perform at the Alice Springs Masters Games (ASMG) Closing Ceremony on Saturday 17 October, bringing their world‑class live show and era‑defining hits like UFO, Pictures and I Love It to the Red Centre as the Games celebrate their 40th year in 2026. Renowned for their high‑energy festival performances and global dance‑pop influence, Sneaky Sound System will deliver an unforgettable finale under the desert sky on the lawns at the Lasseters Centre of Entertainment.
The Closing Ceremony caps off a stacked entertainment program across the 2026 Games. Australian rock legend Shannon Noll will fire up the mid‑week street party on Wednesday 14 October, bringing his powerhouse vocals to the Council Lawns from 5pm. The street party will feature live entertainment, market stalls and the iconic Masters Mile, now open to all ages with support from the Alice Springs Running & Walking Club.
The celebrations begin with the Opening Ceremony on Saturday 10 October, featuring a participant march at 6pm followed by live music until 10pm. The free, family‑friendly event at ANZAC Oval will showcase performances from two iconic Australian rock acts, Baby Animals and Choirboys, and a local support act still to be announced.
Celebrating 40 years since its inception in 1986, ASMG 2026 will feature more than 25 sports, including Athletics, Netball, Aussie 9s, Cycling, Mountain Biking and the fast‑growing Pickleball. For 2026, most sports will welcome participants aged 25 and over, opening the door to a wider competitor base while continuing to embody the spirit of the Friendly Games.
Registrations are now open, with the 2026 Games fee set at $99, including a merchandise pack, access to all social events, the sports clinic and more.
