Snow delivers boost to water catchment

Orange City Council's storm water harvesting systems made the most out of the weekend's snow.

The weekend's snow has delivered about 33ML of water using the Blackmans Swamp storm water harvesting scheme.

We're still pumping from the Ploughmans Swamp storm water harvesting scheme.

Our storm water holding dams have increased from about 5.6 per cent to 28.3 per cent, which is roughly 52 ML.

There's also some in-flow in Spring Creek Dam.

Here is a video showing how the harvesting systems work.
