Snowy Monaro fire information update - Saturday 1 February 13:45PM

Currently, there are two fires burning in the Snowy Monaro at an Emergency Level - the Clear Range Fire to the north-west of Bredbo, and the Creewah-Glen Allen Fire to the north of Cathcart.

There are also a number of fires at an Advice Level - Adaminaby Complex Fire, Bondi Fire, Good Good Fire, Pilots Lookout Fire and Rockton Fire.

Due to the fire threat from the Clear Range Fire the Monaro Highwas has been closed between Royalla (Old Cooma Rd) and Bunyan (Rose Valley Rd).

***Cooma Evacuation Centre***

For residents needing to leave their properties due to the current bush fire threat, the Cooma Evacuation Centre is open.

The Cooma Evacuation Centre is located at the Cooma Multi-Function Centre at the Cooma Showground (corner of Boundary and Cromwell Streets).

***Re-locating animals***

If you need to re-locate your animals, horses can be accommodated at the Cooma Showground.

If space permits, small domestic animals can be taken to the Cooma Pound or the Cooma Showground.

Stock can be taken to the Cooma Saleyards (corner of Monaro Highway and Saleyards Road).

All animals will need to be looked after on a self-care basis.
