The City of Hobart and the Housing with Dignity Reference Group are inviting the community to attend Songs from the Street 2026, a free event in Elizabeth Street Mall on Thursday 6 August from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Held as part of Homelessness Week 2026, the event brings together musicians, people with lived experience of homelessness, community organisations and service providers to raise awareness of housing stress and homelessness while celebrating resilience and community connection.
Hobart Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds said Songs from the Street provided an opportunity for the community to learn more about homelessness and connect with local support services.
The event will feature live music, community activities and a pop-up service expo showcasing organisations that provide housing, health, legal, wellbeing and community support services.
Funds raised on the day will support The Salvation Army's Street to Home program, assisting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
