There have been no new cases of COVID-19 notified in South Australia. The total number of cases notified in SA remains at 439.
There is just one active case in SA, and 434 people have been cleared of COVID-19. One person remains in hospital recovering from the effects of COVID-19, however they are no longer infectious.
There have been four reported deaths in SA from COVID-19. SA Pathology has undertaken more than 69,000 tests for COVID-19 so far.
The South Australian roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions was released on Friday, with Step 1 coming into effect on Monday 11 May. Visit www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery to view the roadmap. Frequently Asked Questions will be available in the coming days.
Everyone must continue to follow measures that will help stop the spread. Practice good hygiene, keep 1.5 metres distance from others and stay at home if you are ill. Keep up the good work South Australia, and let's not undo all the good.
People experiencing any of the following should be tested for COVID-19:
- Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
- An acute respiratory infection e.g. symptoms of cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
- Loss of smell or the alteration in the sense of taste
