South Australia coronovirus update as at 8 October

The Department of Health has reported two new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight.

The new confirmed cases are a male and female, both in their 30s, who travelled to Perth from overseas. Both cases are in hotel quarantine.

The State has now recorded a total of 690 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

There are 11 active cases being monitored and 670 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 584 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 569 were assessed and 567 swabbed.

There have been 439,993 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 75,162 were from regional WA.
