South Australia Covid update as at 4 October 2021

There is one new case of COVID-19 today. There has been a total of 907 cases notified in South Australia.

The case is a male truck driver in his 30s from Victoria. The man tested positive in South Australia, but has now returned to Victoria. Details on exposure locations are being confirmed and will be released once finalised.

Changes to restrictions have been made for the City of Mount Gambier, District Council of Grant and Wattle Range Council areas. More detail and the Direction are available at www.covid-19.sa.gov.au.

All South Australians who have symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested on the day symptoms appear. Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
  • Diarrhoea and vomiting.
