Calling all young people aged 10-25: Surf Coast Shire Council wants to hear from you!
Whether you're at school, uni, working, or just hanging out in the shire, your voice matters.
Council is developing a new Youth Action Plan and wants to know young people's views, ideas and issues to guide this work.
There are three different surveys targeted at those aged:
- 10-13 years
- 14-17 years
- 18-25 years.
"Being a teen today is unlike any other time in history and it's important we understand young people's interests and the issues affecting them," Cr Rebecca Bourke said.
"Our youth team will be visiting schools and encouraging young people to fill out the survey. We'd love it if parents could do the same, as these answers matter and will be used to guide our Youth Action Plan for the next four years."
"The plan will help us support young people as they grow and address the issues affecting them where we can."
"It only takes about five or so minutes to complete the survey and the more voices we hear from the better," she said.
The Youth Action Plan will set priorities for Council's work with young people from 2025-2029, covering things like health and wellbeing, connection, learning, safety, inclusion and more.
