Special Meeting of Council to be held on April 15

The Special Meeting of Council will be held to discuss matters relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The purpose of the meeting is for the Council to determine how it will respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting directions from the Minister for Local Government, including:

  • how the City will respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • a zero percent rate increase for 2020/21;
  • measures to support and create capacity in the local economy; and
  • measures to support the community through this crisis.

A proposal to commence all Council Meetings at 5.30pm will also be considered.

Time: 5.30pm

Place: Council Chambers, Midland Town Hall, 312 Great Eastern Highway, Midland

Members of the public can do longer attend Council Meetings for the foreseeable future, however you are invited to live-stream the meeting.
