Council advises that the speed limit on Hibiscus Lane, Holloways Beach, will be reduced to 30km/h from Wednesday 4 May.
The new speed limit, reduced from 40km/h, offers greater safety.
Council is introducing this change following a speed limit review, which has been endorsed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Police Service.
Variable message boards advising of the change have been placed in Holloways Beach, and permanent signage will be installed to alert motorists to the new speed limit.
