Speeding Driver Detected At Monteith

A p-plater lost his licence after being caught speeding at Monteith overnight.

Police detected the Toyota sedan travelling at 204 km/h in a 110 km/h zone on the Princes Highway, Monteith just before 1am today (Thursday 2 April).

The driver, a 17-year-old Murray Bridge boy, was reported for extreme speed, speed dangerous and contravening his provisional licence conditions. He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
