Celebrate the start of the summer season and make a splash at the Mount Druitt Pool Party this weekend.

The Mount Druitt Pool Party will return for its sixth year and provide a fun-filled and free day at Mount Druitt Swimming Centre this Saturday, 3 December.

Blacktown City Mayor Tony Bleasdale OAM encouraged families to take part in the occasion, pack a picnic and relax by the pool while listening to a live DJ.

There will be free activities for children, including: face painting, glitter tattoos, sun visor craft as well as an inflatable jumping castle slide. Free snow cones will also be available to the first 500 patrons.

"After the rainy and miserable year we've had, what better way to celebrate the start of summer than by going along to the Mount Druitt Pool Party," Mayor Bleasdale said.

"The Pool Party is always a great day out for the whole family - and best of all, it's free of charge.

"The sun is on our side this weekend, so I hope you can make it down to Mount Druitt Swimming Centre on the day and enjoy this great event."
